Jason B. White is the President and Founder of J. White and Associates, LTD., a health management and communications consulting firm headquartered in Minneapolis. He specializes in health care management, working with doctors and staff primarily through private in-office consultations. He is an experienced lecturer, having made many presentations before study groups and state associations. Raised in Fargo, North Dakota, Jay White holds a Marketing degree from Northwestern University and an MBA in Administration and Marketing from the University of Southern California Graduate School of Business Administration. His thirty years of dental consulting experience have given him recognized expertise in improving private practice profitability, as well as valuable insight into the impact of alternative delivery systems on the private practice of dentistry. Jay brings to dentistry special talent in management analysis and planning internal marketing, personnel management, and management systems. He has written articles appearing in health management magazines, as well as traveled the Midwest helping thousands of health care professional secure a more abundant, satisfying future for themselves, their staffs, and their practices. In his spare time Jay loves to take pictures. He got his start in the army where he discovered the magic of black and white photography in the darkroom. Jay's idea of a great time is for he and his wife Carol to get in the car, camera in the back seat and just go for a weekend. The only rule they have is that they avoid paved roads. No maps are allowed. If they get lost all the better!! Southeastern Minnesota is a great haunt of theirs. Jay believes that the future for private dentistry has never been better. His perspective is unique and is the result of his vast exposure to thousands of health care professionals over the last 30 years. Jay feels that monthly feedback to team members on how the office is performing is important. Hands-on training of individuals is directed to helping each achieve their highest potential. Also, Jays expertise is in bringing a values-centered approach to the team. He helps the dentist and team identify their core values and then helps them find ways to communicate these values to their clients. He stresses highly individualistic relationships between the team members as well as between the team and clients. Consequently, the clients perception of value is not based solely on fee.
Kate Fitzgerald has been with J. White and Associates, LTD. for over twelve years. She oversees the financial and administrative team in the office and consults in the areas of team-building and patient services. Her philosophy in consulting is shared by J. White and Associates. She believes that each team member is equally important to the team and should be treated as such. Everyone should have input on how to make the office perform better. She also feels that patients deserve better than the best care from the moment they step into the office as a new patient throughout their relationship with the practice. Her background is in education and administration. She previously owned her own career counseling company. She teaches classes including How to Succeed in Spite of Your Fears, résumé writing, and interviewing. Kate is also the Executive Director of the Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (MACD).
